We are looking for candidates for a Primary Writing and Logic Instructor position. This Academic Writing position offers a unique opportunity to create a rigorous, critical thinking based curriculum that provides a solid writing foundation that will enable students to matriculate into future Capstone writing courses.

We are seeking people who have the enthusiasm, knowledge and intellect to gain young students’ respect and engage them to learn. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the developmental needs of young children.  This person will understand how to establish a structured learning environment and be able to design rigorous writing lessons that also develop students’ oral communication and critical thinking skills. While we work with team-created lesson plans, individual teachers have the flexibility to determine how the learning objectives can best be achieved.

Our primary writing instructors responsibilities will include analyzing student data to plan weekly lessons, providing feedback on homework, writing progress reports, and building relationships with both students and parents.

  • If you don’t have classroom experience, include any experience working with kids or teenagers tutoring, coaching sports teams, music teaching, babysitting, sunday school volunteering, summer camp counselling, etc. It all counts!
