When applying for a visitors visa as a South African for to enter Taiwan you will need the following items:

1. One completed application form.
2. One recent passport-sized colour photo (taken within the last 6 months).
3. A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity).
4. A copy of the flight ticket or a confirmed reservation from the flight agent.
5. Proof of a reservation at any hotel in Taiwan (including the name, the address, telephone and fax numbers and the room rate) or a letter of invitation from a person living in Taiwan including a photocopy of their identification or Residence Card or Alien Residence Card (ARC).
6. Proof of available funds for the visit to Taiwan

• Visitor Visa Costs:
  • 14 days: proof of funds - at least R10 000 - COST:____currently updating cost
  • 30 days: proof of funds - at least R20 000 - COST: ___currently updating cost
  • 60 days: proof of funds - at least R40 000 - COST: ___currently updating cost * this is the one you want
  • Mail in applications acceptable - include return postage paid envelope
  • Processing time: 4 business days
  • RUSH SERVICE: is available - 24 hour emergency visa issuance costs an additional R135
