Visa Application Forms For Taiwan

E-mail

The following form is required to apply for visitor visa to enter Taiwan. We encourage all applicants to include a note with his or her application introducing him or herself and telling the TECO office that you wish for a 60 day visitor visa.

Standard visas for Taiwan are:

  • 14 day visas
  • 30 day visas
  • 60 day visas

Once you enter Taiwan, the process to get a Resident Visa will start immediately but this process could take longer than 30 days. If your visa does not say "Not Extendable", you will be able to extend the visa for up to 180 days while you are in the country. If you get a 14 or a 30 day visa that is "Not Extendable", you will probably have to leave Taiwan and come back before all the paperwork is processed allowing you to apply for a Resident Visa.

Note that Americans, Australians, British, Canadians, Irish and New Zealanders can get visas at the airport on arrival. The only problem with this is that the visas issued at the airport on arrival are only good for 30 days and they are NOT extendable.

Again, I reiterate, it is very difficult to get your paperwork processed within 30 days so all teachers are advised to get a 60 day visitors visa before entering Taiwan.

Teacher Reviews

Holly Hutchens

Holly Hutchens “I'd like to start off by saying that my choice to teach abroad in Korea was one I know I will never regret! Footprints made it very easy to communicate with the school regarding details of where I'd be living and what I'd be teaching as well as taking care of my flight information. At the airport the morning we left, my boyfriend and I encountered overweight bags and extremely long lines at security, and we missed our flight by literally one minute. As we watched our plane pull from the gate, we just about lost our minds and any hope that we'd make the long journey we'd been planning for so long. We made one simple phone call to the travel agent, Claus, that Footprints set us up with. It was 6AM where he was on a Monday morning when we called in a panic. He said, "Stay by your phone," and we knew that he would fix this fiasco for us. Luckily, while Claus was searching for a solution, a woman from United Airlines was able to book us on another flight so that we would make our connection out of the U.S. to Seoul. We would like to thank Claus and Laina at Footprints for all their help in getting us to Korea! ”
