Fees for Chinese Visas for South Africans
Getting your visa to teach in China is relatively straight forward for South Africans. There are four possible consular offices located conveniently in the following locations:
- Cape Town
- Durban
- Johannesburg
- Pretoria
Employment Visa (Z-visa)
- Required Documents
- An invitation letter or fax from the department of the Chinese Government
- an employment certificate issued by the relevant department or certificate of foreign expert
- if you are going to work more than 6 months, a "Physical Examination Record For Foreigner" filled out and signed by a doctor
China Visa Application Process for South Africans
- Passport must have at least 6 months validity
- Passport must have at least two completely empty pages
- completed and signed Visa Application Form
- First time visitors to China need latest 3 month bank-statement
- "Visa Notice" or "Invitation Letter" faxed or original
- "Alien Employment License" issued by the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources or "Foreign Expert Work Permit" issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. Must be the original.
