We are seeking Early Childhood Education, Kindegarten, Elementary, and Special Education teachers for a public school in the Lower Yukon School District in Western Alaska. This is a rural, remote school district that services 8 villages in the area. The purpose of this district's learning community is to ensure tradition, culture, and a quality education for all of its children, in their home communities. That is, they are able to obtain a high quality education without having to leave the area for larger centers. This position is with a school of approxiamately 250 students, located in the village of Emmonak.  

This is an immediately available opportunity. The position is currently vacant and we are seeking a teachers who is available to start right away. The duration will be for the remainder of the 2017-18 school year, with an option to extend.

Job Benefits

Salaries start at $51,000 and will go up based on qualifications and experience
