First, you should know the difference between all the different acronyms:

TEFL - teaching English as a foreign language - refers to teaching English where English is not regularly spoke outside the classroom.
TESL - teaching English as a second language - refers to teaching English in a region or country where English IS spoken regularly outside the classroom.
