China is an amazing place to teach English and explore a culture that is really just opening its' doors to the world. Teaching English in China is a rewarding experience but it requires one to be patient and open-minded.

Teaching jobs in China are plentiful but finding a professional, organized situation can be challenging. That's where Footprints can help. We screen the schools and make sure you are going to a safe, reputable, professional school.

The time you spend in this culturally and visually stimulating country will result in a truly unique experience.

As China opens it's doors to commerce, trade and the West, it will experience a great many changes and challenges. Those wishing to catch a glimpse of this emerging superpower should waste no time.

As China flexes it's muscles in international markets there is a tremendous amount of focus on internationalism and learning English.

Disney English - Teach at Disney in China

Disney English and Footprints have been working together since well before the arrival of Disney English in China.  Footprints was part of the initial recruitment plan before the first school opened and today we are proud partners of Disney English in their expansion in centers around China.  Since Disney English arrived in China in 2008, Footprints has placed teachers at Disney schools every month.  Today we are proud to announce that we have over 20 teaching jobs with Disney English in China EVERY month and in some months, August and February for example, we have close to 100 teaching opportunities available.

Teaching with Disney English offers English teachers in China an opportunity to work in a highly organized environment in a school and with a company that offers tremendous opportunity for growth and development.

Ne How English - Love Affair with English

Apart from the ten truly excellent, greatly experienced and highly respected foreign teachers at the University where I am working, there are only a handful of foreigners in Jiaozuo.

Jiaozuo is a mid-sized city (by China’s standards) of more than one million people. Located in central China, this is an inland city, approximately two hundred kilometers from the capital of Henan Province.   Despite seemingly not on the "map" or connected, the English language appears just about everywhere one looks in this city.

Volunteering in China

Like in any society, resources and opportunities are often exposed to exclusive selections of society.   Imagine living in China and being an orphan and then consider the opportunities a child in this situation might be exposed to.  A Footprints teacher by the name of Stephen Chappell through a friend of his, Wendy Zhou, took it upon himself to bring a new experience to some poor kids in China.

Because we want to get the word out on Disney English and inspire more teachers to apply for these great jobs, we reached out to our current teachers that are in China right now to give us an idea of what day to day life is like at a Disney English Centre.
