Getting a Visa to Teach in Taiwan
Information for South Africans
When applying for a visitors visa for to enter Taiwan you will need the following items:
- One completed application form.
- One recent passport-sized colour photo (taken within the last 6 months).
- A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity).
- A copy of the flight ticket or a confirmed reservation from the flight agent.
- Proof of a reservation at any hotel in Taiwan (including the name, the address, telephone and fax numbers and the room rate) or a letter of invitation from a person living in Taiwan including a photocopy of their identification or Residence Card or Alien Residence Card (ARC).
- Proof of available funds for the visit to Taiwan
- Visitor Visa Costs:
- 14 days: at least R10 000
- 30 days: at least R20 000
- 60 days: at least R40 000 * this is the one you want
- Mail in applications acceptable - include return postage paid envelope
- Processing time: 4 business days
