North Korea - Are they a threat?

Interesting news that North Korea claims they are nuclear capable and they want to hold the rest of the world hostage. What are they looking for? "If the U.S. increases pressure upon the DPRK, persistently doing harm to it, it will continue to take physical countermeasures, considering it as a declaration of a war," said a statement by the North's Foreign Ministry and carried by the official Korean Central News Agency. north-korea-poster

Wow, I think the US should stop bugging them. I think we should focus on the shopping offered through the North Korean Government Website: KFA Shop

I want the Traditional Folk Games Stamps for 70 Euros! What a deal. It's magic marketing like threatining a nuclear war that will definitely get these products moving!
How does a country with no allies, declare war on anyone much less the rest of the world. Whether the nuclear situation is a bluff or not, the situation is ridiculous.

Jong-Il has to realize that he is committing suicide to consider going much further than the current threats. As soon as the flood gates open he is done. The people of North Korea, despite the brainwashing that's been going on will quickly realize that North Korea is not leap years ahead of the rest of the world as their fearless leader and his propaganda team would have them believe. They will be shocked to learn that the rest of the world didn't suffer from global famine over the past decade and that theirs and a handful of other third world countries were the only ones that have suffered and them far worse than most. As soon as the people of North Korea realize this, he is done. Don't look to the rest of the world to end this, North Koreans will take care of business themselves.
