Getting ready for a year in China is a daunting enterprise.  What will you need?  What will you want?  What can you get?

An easy answer is look at the tag or the "made in" notification on the product you are contemplating bringing.  Where was it made?  Pretty much everything already comes from China.  That being said, your accessiblility in China to these things is limited by where you live.

Major metropolitan centers have pretty much everything.  Smaller rural area will have virtually all the things you need and want but you might have to compromise a bit as there will be very limited selection.
