Details

NIIED, a governmental organization affiliated to the Ministry of Education in Korea, is looking for a responsible and competent native speaker of English to assist in managing EPIK. Please read on of additional information about this opportunity.



  1. Duties

    • Working hours: 9am - 6pm

    • Working days: 5 days per week (excluding Sat, Sun, and Korean national
      holidays)

    • Manage counsel office of EPIK (mediate disputes, give consultations)
      Respond to inquiries (calls, e-mails, visits)

    • Proofread, check and draw up English documents

    • Perform work assigned by EPIK and NIIED



  2. Employment Period - October 1, 2008 ~ September 30, 2009

    • Renewable upon mutual written agreement (1 year contract period)



  3. Benefits of Employment


    • Salary 1,800,000 ~ 2,300,000 KRW per month (approximately 1,800~ 2,300
      USD)

      • * Refer to the pay scale for EPIK teachers.



    • Additional overtime pay

    • Airfare Reimbursement - One way ticket to Korea for applicants abroad,
      return ticket to home country)

    • Housing allowance: 500,000 KRW per month (approximately 500 USD)

    • Tax Exemption: 2 years of income tax exemption (Canadians 2 ~ 4%)

    • National Health Insurance, Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance:
      50% of your premiums paid by your employer

    • National Pension: 50% of your compulsory contributions paid by your employer


  4. Required Qualifications


    • Hold at least a bachelor's degree

    • Fluent, accurate competency of English

    • Earnest, responsible and willing to cooperate

    • Capable of counseling and fast typing

    • Mentally and physically healthy

    • A citizen of a country where English is the primary language who can obtain
      an E2 visa

    • Preference is given to:

      • A person with an experience in EPIK

      • Bilingual: Fluent in both Korean and English

      • Skilled in administration
