 This school is located in southern South Korea in a quaint seaside town called Mokpo. Mokpo is a perfect location for a teacher looking for a bit of quiet time and an opportunity to really become part of the community. Although you have easy access to the rest of the country and although Busan is only a short bus ride away, Mokpo truly is a perfect teaching place for someone who wants to get away from it all. Sunsets are magnificent here as is access to the little islands that scattered out in the Yellow Sea. Mountain bike enthusiasts, writers, and fisherman look no further. This is perfect for you!
The job is also an easy fit. This is a small modern school situated in a new building in a shopping and eating area. Everything you need is within reach and the owners have been running the school for many years now and are excellent English speakers. Communication with them is not a problem. They respect the teachers working for them and do their best to provide a comfortable working environment.
Mokpo is a small growing city that is right on the coast. It has some beautiful trails up the small mountains (big hills) in the city and is near to the mountains and temple sites to the south. There is easy access to the islands that have some small beaches by ferry. Mokpo has 2 major department stores for groceries and shopping, Western restaurants, bars, pool halls, bowling allies, fruit/veg/fish markets, movies theatres, and train/bus/ferry terminals.
