The Hong Kong Education Bureau has formally selected Footprints Recruiting as the official, exclusive provider of Canadian teachers to the Hong Kong Primary and Secondary Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) positions. This announcement comes on the wake of the Vancouver School Board announcing that 800 teachers with less than 5 years experience will be laid off in June 2010 which positions these certified teachers in good stead to get a job teaching in a public school in Hong Kong.
Korea Public Schools offer teachers an incredible opportunity to gain valuable experience teaching in a public school setting in South Korea. As a teacher in a South Korea public school you are partnered with a Korean English teacher who you will work with to plan and coordinate lessons and while you won't be in the same class together, you will have the same classes - you teaching communicability and pronunciation - them teaching grammar and writing. The Korean teacher will be your greatest asset in adjusting to life in Korea and teaching in a Korean Public School, they will also be an incredible resource to help you learn about Korean culture.
“Thank you so much for all of your hard work :) I am truly happy in Daejeon. My schools are amazing, and I honestly couldn't ask for more. I really appreciate all of the work that went into me being apart of Daejeon MOE. Based on the circumstances, it was pretty difficult managing things, and I am happy we were all able to make it work together.”
