Things you can do to help the family or be a good homestay guest:
Living in a homestay in a fantastic opportunity for you to learn about Georgian culture and for them to experience a different culture and to be forced to speak and use English on a daily basis. No matter the families motivation in hosting you, it is important that you are mindful of culture and respectful of the fact that you are living in someone else's home. If you are like me and mom follows you around picking up dishes, making you breakfast, lunch, and dinner it's time to thank mom and start taking care of yourself.
By being a good guest, helping out with the household chores, and improving their English you will help your host family a lot. If you choose to share more of your stipend with the host family on your own initiative, it is your choice and it is completely up to you.
