Getting your teaching visa for Taiwan is most often done IN Taiwan. This is not always that case but is most often the norm. For those teachers who are heading over to Taiwan to teach with the Ministry of Education, you will most like get your visa prior to your department but for those heading to teach in bushibans (buxibans) or private schools or even international schools or universities, the process usually follows that you head over to Taiwan on a 60 day visa and you apply for your work permits and such once you are in the country.
