Home Getting Ready to Teach Abroad Getting your Passport
Getting your Passport
The requirements and processes to get your passport differ from country to country as do the costs and the validation periods.  If you don't already have a passport please refer to your country section to determine the process to get this very important document.  Those of you who already have this critical piece of the puzzle, please check to ensure you still have 6 months validity on your passport... all nations we work with require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months from the date you present it to them to get your visa stamped in it.  Footprints highly recommends that you have at least 1 year validity to prevent you from having to get a new passport whilst you are abroad teaching - who knows how far the Embassy or Consulate will be from where you are teaching and you may be required to go there in-person if you can't supply a guarantor (which is often difficult to do while you are abroad).

Teacher Reviews

Andreas Imhof

Andreas Imhof “I loved my teaching experience through Footprints and would highly recommend the process to anyone. Footprints really works hard to screen for the best, most reputable schools and you can always feel safe accepting a position through them.”
