Is age an issue? 3 Months ago

I don't have teaching experience; I am 62 - I suppose 63 in Korea

-, a native USA English speaker, and my degree is in Sociology w/a Computer Science minor which was confered in 1982. I have personal ties with someone in Korea and would most likely not be living in school-provided quarters (if that's an option).

I'd most like to be situated in a Southern state or island.

I am a female, age 52; I finished up a 6-month contract in South Korea last year. I would like to look into a one-year contract (perhaps) in the Middle East to begin sometime around mid-2010. Is age an issue? 1 Week ago

I have a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. I am 48. I don't have any teaching experience but I am considering taking a 140 hr TESOL course from an accredited school. My first country of choice to teach in would be Japan. I have found that several companies there will not hire anyone over 40. Is this a standard hiring practice in Japan for foreign teachers? Will it be impossible for me to find work there because of my age?
