What should I pack?
Heading to Korea in August and want to know if anyone has any advice on what I NEED to bring with me. Got my lonely planet already and am building my lang skills.

RE: What should I pack?
You going with Footprints? If so, they will provide you with an orientation that gives you a list of what to bring. The list is a little out of date now b/c you can get pretty much anything here now.

I'm a big guy so clothing is a bit difficult for me. I get everything tailormade now which is super cheap. Shoes are the big problem...

I also recommend bringing your own spices and if you've got room, jars of indian pastes and such. The curries are different over here and I love my butter chicken. You can get packets in some stores so not to worry about room when packing or weight or breakage.

Some suggest bringing posters from home to make it feel like home but my thought on that is if you want home, stay home.

I recommend bringing a mountain bike. There are some awesome trails in Korea.
