buy running shoes?
I will be coming over there in a few weeks, and I am an avid runner but need new shoes.. I wear a ladies 5-6 so sizes will be highly available there. Just wondering if the general cost/quality is the same or better and I should buy my new pair there. Typically spend $80-100 CAN here.

RE: buy running shoes?
I don't know about the markets in Daegu but you can get decent shoes in most department stores. I live in Seoul and have been able to get my shoes at the Dongdaemon markets. I pay about $30-40 for Nike cross-trainers.

You might save a couple bucks by waiting but I would buy at home and then get another pair over here. They only last 4-6 months anyway.

Also to note, every heard of the Hash House Harriers?

RE: buy running shoes?
I have a size 10 mens foot and have had no trouble getting shoes in Korea. I get laughed at by the other foreigners for buying them but I have several very "cool" pairs of shoes. I also got my last pair of cross-trainers here and they are about a year old and in good shape despite pretty regular wear.
