Sounds too good to be true but it's true.

The employer provides a prepaid return airfare to and from Georgia for all teaching terms, no matter how long or short, and for all teachers participating in this program.

Whether you get a return flight for vacation will vary depending on how long you teach. If you teach for 1 semester you are not entitled to a vacation or an extra return flight for that vacation. If you teach for 1 year (2 semesters) you will receive a paid 24 working day vacation and an extra airfare home and back to Georgia for your vacation. Instead of going back home you can choose to go to another destination the ticket to which is of equal or lesser price than the ticket to/from your home. A vacation must be taken outside of the school semesters, i.e. during the summer or winter school breaks.

If you sign up for 1 semester and later extend your contract for a second semester, you become eligible for the vacation and the extra airfare for it, just as if you signed up for 2 semesters from start.

The tickets to Tbilisi are booked for at least 50 people at a time for their arrival in Georgia from many countries on the same day. Many teachers apply for the program last minute. Many documents are reviewed and the tickets are booked only two weeks before the departure or even closer to departure date. It is very important that we all exercised patience during the time of waiting for the e-tickets’ arrival. The employer emails the tickets to us at Footprints and we emailed them to the teachers as soon as we received them. We may receive the e-tickets only several days before your departure or, occasionally, just a couple days before your flight. During this time teachers wait impatiently for their tickets and we update them daily on any news we hear from the employer regarding the tickets.

Will someone meet me at the airport? 2 years 5 months ago #4436

The employer representatives will meet you at the airport, no matter when and how you arrive, during the day or in the middle of night; with a group of other teachers or alone. There is only one major terminal in Tbilisi and as you get off the plane you will see a large banner with Teaching in Georgia or other clearly identifiable writing in English and the Georgia team members meeting you. They will be hard to miss. They will escort you through the immigration and customs and make sure your landing is trouble free.

For those who teach in Georgia for 1 school year the employer will provide a round trip airfare to their home country or to another destination of their choice, provided the price of the ticket to that other destination does not exceed the price of the airfare to the teacher’s home and is within the budgetary limit set by the employer.

There appears to be some conflicting information on the site: In one place, it says the employer pays for airfare regardless of length of contract; in one or two other places, it says the employer pays for airfare for contracts of 1 year or more.
