Why ITTT for TEFL Certification?

We identified ITTT for several reasons. The first was that it offered a 100 hour program that is recognized by our public school clients in South Korea and in the Middle East, although it should be noted that not all Footprints client schools recognize online TEFL courses.

The second consideration was the reputation of the program and the content. Several teachers who have taken the course have commented that "this was the best thing I could have done to prepare after I got the job. Are there better online TEFL courses out there?

Jeff Strachan, co-owner of Footprints, says "Yes. There are many TEFL programs out there that offer more but if you're comparing apples to apples then you need to compare online TEFL program with other online TEFL programs and this one is value for dollar.

This online TEFL course is 100, 120 or 140 hours, they offer tutoring support which is really important and DVD's for teachers who want a more hands on type learning approach, and it is affordable for nearly everyone. In addition the learning modules are well structured and graded by experienced, native English speaking certified TEFL teachers adding credibility to the grades you will achieve.

My strongest recommendation is to get an Education degree and specialize in TESOL but I know that isn't a reality for most people. If you are considering TEFL courses and you have time and an extra thousand dollars then consider a TEFL course that is all in class with a supervised practicum.

The reality is that many of our teachers simply don't have the time to take a month off to take one of these courses and many of the people interested in the online TEFL course we are talking about are people who are currently teaching ESL full time and they are trying to become better teachers. I am a huge advocate of this ITTT online TEFL course and recommend it wholeheartedly."
