Footprints Ambassadors - Volunteer Experience to Share Your Knowledge and Experience

Returning to your home country after being abroad for an extended length of time can often be just as daunting as it was to adjust to teaching overseas. There’s the jet lag, unpacking, deciding where you’ll live, perhaps re-acquainting yourself to the ‘norms’ of your home country that you may have had to let go of while immersing yourself in another culture and looking for gainful employment.

Simply working on building your resume for example and looking for employment has potential to be frustrating. That’s where we’d like to help you with the Ambassador program.

As a Footprints Recruiting Alum/Alumnus, you now have the added opportunity to volunteer as a Footprints Ambassador.

What does it involve?

  • Attending career fairs
  • Posting flyers in College/University career centers and on campus grounds
  • Fielding questions from teachers before they leave about your experiences

How will being an Ambassador benefit you?

  • Volunteer experience
  • Reference letter from Footprints Recruiting for commitments of 3-12 months
  • Certificate for your volunteer work
  • Adding to your experiences abroad by helping new teachers optimize their own impending ventures overseas by being informed and well prepared for their adventures.

Teacher Reviews

Shawna Walsh

Shawna Walsh “Well all I can say is it is like nothing you could ever imagine. I am half way through my year and I could never have imagined all that I would learn and experience. Teaching is great, the kids are sweet (most of the time). Korea has lots to see and do. If you like shopping, climbing or eating this is the place for you! Having gotten on the plane and spent half a year here so far I feel like I can do anything. So what are you waiting for? Get on the plane already!”
