Footprints Long Term Intern
Hi there,
I guess now it's my turn! This was one of the first sentences that I ever learned in English at school and will never forget, just because of the way it sounds. I said to myself what an "easy going" language and started to enjoy learning it at school, and I always had the dream to go abroad one day. But before I continue just let me introduce myself.
I was born in Kinshasa, Congo, but I grew up in Luanda, the capital city of Angola, where I lived until the age of 10. In December of 1995, I moved with my family to Germany. We learned German, but we also spoke Portuguese and French at home. It can be complicated in my house :).
After High School I moved to Lueneburg where I began my current Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in Marketing.
Presently,l I am an intern here at Footprints Recruiting, Inc. in order to finish my degree at Luephana University in March of 2010. I am working here as an Assistant in the Marketing/Advertising Department. During my practicum I will have the opportunity to gain practical work experience in a multicultural environment and I hope to continue improving my English skills, as well as my professional and personal skills while working with people from different backgrounds.
Concerning Vancouver, I was surprised by the hospitality of Canadians and the multicultural society which was one of the main things that had a positive influence in my decision to come here. Furthermore I am a soccer enthusiast and the Foosball games between Dave and I here in the office is always exciting. Dave is very sure of himself, but change is coming ;).
I really appreciate the opportunity to work here, and I hope you enjoy your experience with Footprints Recruiting.
- Jaime

“I've just been through the SMOE orientation and started my new job. And I just wanted to say thank you to you and Footprints- after meeting all those who came through other recruiting agencies I realized how lucky I was to be with Footprints. You provided me with much more information than others received and you've always been very helpful and knowledgeable.
Thank you so much again, Susannah”
