Footprints Recruiting offers a free, high level of service which is hard to match in the international ESL industry. Footprints was created BY teachers FOR teachers and we are very proud of the teacher centric focus of our company.
What sets Footprints apart from all the other teacher recruiters?
- The People - All employees at Footprints have been ESL teachers abroad AND speak English as their native language (over ½ of our head office staff are Footprints alumni!)
- Screening the Schools - We screen ours schools thoroughly and understand the legalities of contracts and employer standards. Our screening process includes the following:
- Contact with current teacher to make sure they are paid on time, have adequate resources and a supportive working environment
- Confirmation that the school has a developed curriculum, basic training and resource materials available
- We ensure the housing that is provided is comfortable and suitable for our teachers
- Contact with the school to determine stability and student enrollment
- Mentorship Program - We have established a Mentorship program. As a Footprints teacher, you will be given the contact information of a Footprints Teacher in your area who will help you acclimate to life overseas. The great thing about the Mentorship program is that these are Footprints teachers that have volunteered their time to help out the newbies! So if you are assigned a mentor – volunteer to be one yourself after you’ve adjusted
- Pre-departure Packages - Once hired, we provide an pre-departure/orientation package with detailed information about the country of choice
- Arrival Packages - When you get there, we provide an arrival package containing information regarding various organizations, sports leagues and free trial memberships
- Teacher Support - This is provided throughout your contract and after, by way of our alumni program
- The Footprints Alumni Program - Footprints teachers who have successfully completed a one-year contract with us. We assist Footprints Alumni in finding placement in other locations around the world (i.e. Chile, Costa Rica, Japan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, etc.) – great chance to be a part of a much larger community of ESL teachers
- WE ARE FREE - hard to believe but true. We offer our services to teachers FOR FREE
