Most Common Dishes in Georgia
Food in Georgia is both flavorful and plentiful. Georgians take pride in their cuisine and are always happy and honored to share their feast with guests. Some popular dishes include:
Khatchapuri: Cheese-filled bread that comes in different variation, depending on the region. This is by far one of the most popular snack foods in Georgia and is available on every street. School children often subsit off this during the day and you can purchase it cheap at your school's canteen.

Khinkali: These dumplings are considered to be the country’s national dish. Popular fillings include meat, potatoes. mushrooms, and cheese. Consuming khinkali is an artform; one must bite into the dumpling while sucking out the juices without breaking it.
Lobiani: Similar to Khatchapuri, but filled with a spiced bean paste.
Lobio: A bean stew that is akin to chili and eaten with bread.
Badrijani: Sliced eggplant that is fried, filled with a walnut paste and garnished with pomegranate.

Aside from this list, there are many, many other dishes native to Georgian cuisine, most of which are prepared with fresh ingredients, herbs, and spices. Fruits and vegetables are inexpensive and can be found at almost at every market
