If you are applying for a visa in any of these consulates you may need to demonstrate that this is the area you are living. Often showing that you have a plane ticket departing from Sydney or Melbourne or Brisbane etc offers reasonable grounds that the visa should be processed there.

  • Note that you can apply by mail for a visa at the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne.
