I remember getting my initial phone call from Footprints and almost not answering the phone because I did not recognize the number. I am glad I decided to see who it was! Through the phone interviews and email correspondence I was able to learn more about the Footprints organization and learn about perspective schools at which I might very well teach. ....

In short, loving it here!

Living in Beijing, or perhaps any metropolis for all I know, constantly effaces one's definition of the unusual. Three years ago a three-wheeled car looked bizarre, like an adult-sized electric trike, or a motorcycle with training wheels. Now, while they and countless other once-abnormalities go wholly unnoticed, I amazingly still encounter people and ....

Great to hear that Footprints is so successful, and we are the first to confirm that through the positions found by the organisation are excellent. David and I are very happy in our position in Hangzhou for the last 5 months. The university has a beautiful setting and, we have been welcomed with a lot of kindness. The teachers are extremely ....

For anyone who is seriously thinking about teaching English in China, I would highly recommend that you use Footprints to help you find a school that will match your needs. I had done quite a bit of research online about teaching in China and told Footprints about my preferences and concerns. They were able to find for me a school near ....

Footprints helped me get a job teaching grades 7-9 in Southern China. The process was thorough and simple. I am sure I would have had a hard time doing this on my own and it is a comfort to know I do not have to negotiate directly with my school. ....

I have been recruited through Footprints and am now teaching in a Chinese high school. Before I knew anything about Footprints I had my fears about recruiting companies. Remember that shanghai is used as a verb as well as a proper noun. But Footprints took care of the formalities that are required to go abroad. They did a great job matching ....

As a recent university graduate deciding to teach English overseas, I had no idea where to begin. Fortunately, I connected with Footprints, who found me a good job within days of our relationship and have continued to provide support for me throughout the year. With so many jobs to choose from, it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the ....

I have to admit that teaching overseas sounded exciting and scary at the same time. Every time I spoke with someone in the US about it, they said, Are you crazy? You are kidding? How wonderful?

As the day approached, I have to admit I became somewhat frantic, because I did not feel prepared. My suitcases were ....

Things are going well here. Gaylene (New Zealand) have traveled to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbor, Nanxing River and Janjing Island...

We plan to visit Hangzhou in the spring, the West Lake is fabulous. Anyway, the school has been really great and I feel quite blessed that I found a fellow traveler.

Hi Jeff,

Friday was Teacher's Day here in China. I was overwhelmed with the tremendous and enthusiastic greetings I received from my students. By the end of the weekend, I received sixteen large bunches of bananas, ten big bags of apples and other seasonal fruit and cabbage from my students as Teacher's Day gifts. Yes, two ....

Hi Jeff,

The students in my night school class are all the children of the University staff. I've been teaching them for the past six weeks and have had a great time. We are together from 6:30 - 9:30, Monday through Friday.

The three hours goes by quickly for the students but it gives me ....

Hi Jeff and the staff at Footprints,

Things are going well for me here in China. The air is hot and dry here in Jiaozuo. Our temperature reaches 40 degrees C in the day. We have little relief from the heat as there are few shade trees. We simply go about our day and keep a bottle of ....
