Daejeon-Cheongju Ice Hockey League (DCIHL)

E-mail

The Daejeon-Cheongju Ice Hockey League (DCIHL) is a great little league for expats in southern South Korea to get in the game! If you're looking to play some hockey in Korea and you're down south look no further or if you're looking to teach in Korea and you play hockey, get a job with Footprints in Daejeon or Cheongju and get on a squad!

Every Monday and Friday the boys get together for some pick-up hockey in Daejeon but the actual league is much more involved.

Although just a recreational league, there are players from major junior teams and some guys who are learning how to stick handle. In an effort to balance the teams and make it fun for everyone, captains are picked at the beginning of the season (September) and they "draft" players... ever been in a draft? Loads of fun here boys and girls. Get in the game!

There is a nominal fee to cover the basic costs of ice and admin. Come on out and have some fun. http://hockeyinkorea.com

Teacher Reviews

Niall Birtwell

Niall Birtwell “I have been teaching in Keelung, Taiwan for over 1 year now, and plan to stay at least another. Footprints Recruiting was an invaluable service for me, assisting in many ways to ensure I had a smooth transition. Without their support, moving to Taiwan would have been much more difficult, and my experience much less enjoyable. I have, of course, become friends with other teachers, both in my school and elsewhere, who did not come via Footprints Recruiting. Many had encountered problems, such as teaching at an unprofessional school, visa problems, housing problems, etc. I am grateful I never had any such difficulties. My experience in Taiwan has been wonderful.”
