Founded over 1500 years ago, Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, has had an interesting political history. Having been strategically placed along the Silk Road routes, the rich history is evident in the variations of architecture, ethnicity, and religion. Tbilisi is also Georgia's largest city with a population close to 1.5 million and has numerous museums, art galleries, and monuments to explore.
