*IMPORTANT NOTE* These positions will fill very quickly. Applications will be sent out in March, and interviews will commence in early April. Going by previous years, the locations in cities will fill by mid May, and all positions will likely be filled by mid-June.
*QUALIFICATION CHANGE*: EPIK is likely going to require all teachers to qualify for at least a level 2 salary (still to be confirmed by EPIK). That means successful applicants must have one of the following at a minimum:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Education or English Language/Literature or Linguistics
- Bachelor’s degree in anything + 1 year full time teaching experience
- Master’s degree in any discipline
The easiest way to qualify is to obtain a TEFL certification of 100 hours. This can be done online and there is a discount for Footprints teachers here: http://www.footprintsrecruiting.com/onli ne-tefl-certification/online-tefl-certif ication/
You will be matched with a specific school within the province of preference during the orientation period according to your abilities and interests.
EPIK hires for almost all provinces and cities in Korea including Busan, Incheon, Daegu, Daejeon, Ulsan, Gwangju, Seoul cities as well as Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk, and other provinces.
Some of the cities available are the biggest in Korea with several million people. They have virtually every amenity you could want and more.
Many of the towns and mid-sized cities in these provinces are deeply rooted with unique traditional culture and history providing an immersion in the Korean experience. Air quality is cleaner in rural areas than in most big cities across South Korea, plus the cost of living is generally lower.
These are excellent ESL teaching opportunities for teachers who are looking to spread their wings and gain invaluable and transferable teaching experience in public schools in Korea. For first-time teachers, whether you have never taught abroad or never taught at all, these jobs represent an amazing opportunity to gain classroom experience. Preference is given to those with experience but if you are a sincere, motivated person who loves to work with young kids, this could be a perfect opportunity for you.
You will have a Korean co-teacher in the class with you. Your co-teacher will be a Korean who speaks and teaches English.
If you decide you would prefer getting a unique cultural immersion experience we highly recommend applying for these teaching placements. In these situations teachers are embraced by the communities and they often learn more Korean and get more exposure to traditional culture.
We have a LOT of other information about these jobs that we can send you- if you are interested in applying let your placement coordinator know you'd like to apply for EPIK or if you haven't gone through the Footprints interview yet, please use our online application form to apply.

**Tips to be a successful applicant**
1. Apply as early as you can: be sure to obtain current reference letters that meet the guidelines
2. Gather all documents as soon as possible
3. Submit documents as early as possible to secure a position in the location of your choice if offered a position.
These fill on a first come, first serve basis, and incomplete/inaccurate documents can and will lead to losing out on a job altogether. We are here to help you with the process, so don't be shy to ask!
